Video installation, multiple channels, 2014.

The video installation The Copier brings to mind the everyday boredom, repetition and feelings of futility. Also, how representation in relation to power raises questions of who, or what, has agency and gets to be the acting force. There is a power play going on between the installations different characters, the copies of one and the same person. The small person, materialized inside the copier, is initially governed  by the larger one and its actions. But after a while, she tries to take control, to steer the situation and her reality.

 

Flerkanalig videoinstallation, 2014.

Mellan de olika karaktärerna i videoinstallationen The Copier, kopior av en och samma person, pågår ett maktspel. Den lilla personen, materialiserad inuti kopiatorn, styrs inledningsvis av den stora och dess handlingar. Men, allteftersom, försöker den ta kontroll och styra förloppet och sin egen verklighet. The Copier kan föra tankarna till vardagstristess, upprepning och känslor av meningslöshet. Till frågor om vem eller vad som styr representationen av oss, och som får vara den verkande kraften.
